In honour of 2020:

Of all the things Madame Curie came to understand, certainly the most famous was radioactivity. Her work would usher in an era of life-saving medicines, nightmarish weapons, and the shocking realization that atoms were not absolute. There would be much to fear, but even more to be understood, as she advised.
